Annual Open Enrollment Period (AEP) 2023

The annual election period for state health insurance policies has now arrived for a limited time, take action now while you still can by calling our state-licensed brokers @ (469) 772-4478.

This election period commonly referred to as the "Open Enrollment Period" is from November 1st-January 2023.  During this time you are able to make changes, reposition your health coverage, and/or make changes to your existing Major Medical Health Insurance Policy.

The Open Enrollment Period is the best time of the year to verify all of your health insurance policy options.  Between this time you will have the ability to now get quotes for both Major Medical Health, and private, Short-Term Health Insurance companies.

Major Medical Health and Short-Term Health Insurance options are made available to you through your state through a platform called "The Insurance Marketplace", which is also commonly known as "Obamacare", and the "Affordable Care Act (ACA)".

You can now view ALL of your options, see what Tax Credits you can apply for, and enroll in just minutes with this new tool from Health Sherpa, officially partnered with healthcare.gov

TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE POLICIES WE CAN ASSIST WITH

  • ACA Compliant Health Insurance Plans

Also Called "Major Medical Insurance", "Obamacare", or "The Marketplace". (HMO & PPO Networks)

  • Short-Term Medical Health Insurance Plans (HMO & PPO Networks)

  • Fixed Indemnity & Hospital Plans

  • Accidental Policies

  • Cancer, Stroke, & Critical Illness Benefits

  • Supplemental Insurance Benefits

Major Medical health insurance is known as many things but would most commonly be referred to as "Long-Term Health Care", as it can be renewed until age 65 guaranteed.

These types of policies typically come with benefits like co-pays on doctor's visits and drug prescriptions, covering pre-existing conditions and are guaranteed renewals yearly.

Underwriting and premium are only based on tobacco use and age.

FIXED BENEFITS

Fixed Benefits, also known as "fixed indemnity" health insurance plans are another great alternative to Major Medical and Short-Term Medical health insurance policies.

These plans work just like they sound, as they pay "fixed benefits" towards the specific doctor and hospital-related services, as listed in your coverage.

These plans are typically backed by $1-$2,000,000 max benefits per year and can help with overnight hospital stays and emergency services.

Short-Term health insurance can be a great alternative to Major Medical for many different types of families needing health coverage.

With some of the same big-name networks as Major medical, these PPO plans will work in any state across the country, which makes sense for many.

Underwriting and eligibility are subject to current health conditions and may come with a lookback period on those pre-existing conditions.

ACCIDENT & SICKNESS

Accident and sickness health insurance benefits are a great addition to the existing coverage, or can even be an additional alternative to having a full-coverage health insurance policy.

These policies are known as supplemental coverage and are very effective for helping you meet deductibles and out-of-pocket costs.

This is the most cost-effective health insurance solution available, and premiums amounts will vary based on what variances of coverage are added.
